My name is Gema. It sounds like “Emma,” but spelled with a “G.” The “G” is pronounced like an “H,” and there’s only one “M.”

I was born in New Jersey and grew up in Reno, Nevada, near the Sierra Nevada mountains.

My passion for storytelling and photography started young, sparked by my first camera at age 10 and nurtured through middle school yearbook. After earning an Associate of Arts at Truckee Meadows Community College, I received my Bachelor’s in Journalism from the University of Nevada, Reno, and spent a few years in Seattle exploring creative opportunities.

Today, I produce lifestyle TV in one of the country’s biggest cities, something 15-year-old me could never have imagined. I continue to pursue photography alongside floristry and sewing, keeping creativity at the heart of everything I do.
